The Chocolate Girl - Park Slope
I saw a mention of this place in one of the posts. Any other reviews? Is it a good place to stop off to sit down for a coffee and relax?

Yes, it's still open. At least, it was as of half an hour ago, and they were busy preparing for the coming saint's day, so it didn't look like they were closing any time soon.
They've got chairs and tables now, but still no real coffee, just hot chocolate and "cappuccino" from a powder.

Right now the only seating is a few bar stools. Tables and chairs have been promised RSN for months, but as of this morning they're saying next week some time. We'll see. There's a very pretty back yard, which is pleasant in nice weather, but not if it's freezing. They have plans to put up a tent for the winter, but that hasn't happened yet.
The only beverage they sell is cappuccino from powders. No real coffee yet. That may also be coming RSN. Other than that they've got ice cream, some cakes, and very expensive fancy chocolates. They also do children's parties, or at least they did out back when the weather was nicer; I can't see where they have room for them indoors.
So no, it's not really a cafe type place, at least not yet. But it's the only kosher place in the neighbourhood.

Here is the blurb from Time Out New York- looks like there is some sort of cafe. I haven't been there yet, but would be interested in reactions from anyone who has.
TONY- The Chocolate Girl Tziporah Azigayil Jaeger, a.k.a. the Chocolate Girl-,-has transformed a one-woman sweets operation into this mini chocolate factory. The three-story space boasts two floors of kosher choco-production (there’s a glass-enclosed molding room) and a ground-level retail shop and café that offers a menu of cocoa-heavy bites, including molten chocolate cake. 383 Seventh Ave between 11th and 12th Sts, Park Slope, Brooklyn (718-788-4475)
