Sadly, the Quiet Man will be closing soon

Was at the Quiet Man over the weekend and found out they will be closing soon. February 3rd is the last day they will be open, and the kitchen will stop serving after the 25th of January. I will greatly miss their steak tips and prime rib Wednesdays!

  1. Oh no! RIP Quiet Man, one of my favorite dives for steak tips.

    1. So now it's for real, huh? I know that they had talked about closing for some time now. That's too bad--their steak tips were excellent, and it was a very popular place with the locals around there.

What will be going in there? Upscale condos? If so, that'll be good, as Boston definitely needs more of those. ;-b

Maybe Coda will open a second location there. :)

        Sorry, still bitter...

Yes, it's for real. I even got my "Last Bash T-Shirt"! I plan to get their at least once more for the steak-tips before they close.

Have one for me, Pegmeister, as I don't think I'll have a chance to get there before they close their doors.

              Maybe I'll see you there. It's a shame ....

it's right at the red line Broadway T stop, across the street from some huge new condos. This place must be a victim of its own (good) location.

              2. Sadly, another South Boston landmark is closing. Paul and Tim Buck ran a reputable establishment. It'll be less of a place without it. "Ring-a-ring, a rosie. As the light declines..."
