Vancouver dinner recs
I'll be spending my birthday in Vancouver next month and am in search of good meal for the big day. I currently live in Toronto and make it a point to eat well on my birthday. I've only visited Vancouver a few times and ate at Vij's during my most recent stay. Cost is not an issue - really just looking for good food and good service. My tastes are quite diverse so just about anything goes and my b-day falls on a Saturday this year - not sure if that might have an impact on your thoughts. Thanks in advance for your recommendations!

WEST
Awesome service, impeccable food, should be an outstanding night.
Make reso's!Or Boneta
Food changes alllll the time but it's always fresh and good. Service is great, it's a very fun place to go, the guys there are a riot! They'll treat you right.
Those are my top 2 places to go in the city right now.
Oh wait! hahaha
Aurora is a local place for me but again very seasonal food, constantly changing menu (so it's new every time I go LOL). Wine list is ONLY BC but lots BTG.WHen are you coming to town?
If it's at the end of the month keep in mind pretty much the whole city will be focused on the Vancouver Playhouse International Wine Festival. (Feb 25-Mar 2)›2 Replies-

re: GroovinGourmet
Me and GroovinGourmet always recommend West. But I wanted to let you know that they have recently lost their chef David Hawksworth and are currently running with their Sous in charge - very capably mind you. The new chef takes over later this month. Where you aware of this news, Groovin?
