Buff Patty, Fort Greene (BK) - Jamaican patties
I did a search and only found mentions from 2006 and so here's my recent (yesterday) 2-cents...
Stopped in after a long bike ride for a beef patty, they were all out and the young woman behind the counter suggested the jerk chicken patty. Um, I wouldn't have thought to try it, but went for it anyway. I made it 1/2 a block down the street (and about 3 bites in) before I turned around to go back and buy another one. I'm going to assume that, like most Jamaican restaurants, they probably buy their patties from one of the NY/CT bakeries, but who cares, this patty was rockin' good. Just a bit of spice, not too hot and sooo good. A lighter, more flaky (and also lighter in color) crust than the beef varieties that we're most accustomed to.
I've been meaning to try their regular menu offerings and will have to get back there soon.

OMG I loooooove Buff Patty's jerk chicken patties. They're my absolute favorite in all Brooklyn. I've tried quite a few places (also on a bike quest) around the borough and these really stand out.
I had also heard that they just buy them frozen -- I don't know what they do to them to make them more delicious than any other place.
