Anyone know where Fois is regularly on the menu in Phoenix area?

I did a quick search of this board and it appears that Binkley's was the only local restaurant mentioned with Fois, but not sure if it is a regular item.

I've never had it. And in all I've ever read about it, no one really describes the flavor...just that it melts in your mouth when prepared properly. So, point me in the right direction.

Thanks.

there are ton's of restaurants with foie on the menu regularly -

sophie's bistro
house of tricks
wrights at the biltmore
*not 100%* but i'm pretty sure christophers fermier and vincent's also do, too

that's just off the top of my head

personally i think foie tastes like a little piece of heaven :D its sort of like bacon-y meat butter..its really fatty, and can just about melt into nothingness. but a great chef can coax a perfect crusty char on the side which kicks it up a notch..

its soooooooooooooo good

No, 'meat butter' is pretty much the perfect descriptor for foie gras. It can be really luscious.

The first foie gras preparation I really appreciated was the dish at T Cook's. Before that, I hadn't really seen the big deal.
