EZRA'S POUND....what's it like?

Every time I go by this place (usually in a car I'll admit) the shades are drawn?
Is it surviving the harsh strip of Dupont? Frangipane does a roaring good business but what's up with Ezra's Pound?

    1. What do they serve? Is it purely for Coffee and 'sweet things/bagels'? Is it the kind of place one would go for a 'light lunch'?
Do tell what it's like please and thanks........

Great coffee, and nice lunches as well, good fresh soups and sandwiches.

i agree..great coffee. Not to mention, I love what Ezra has done to the "space".
Ive always meant to try a day!!

    2. the smoked salmon is the best i've had, served on fred's bread baguette w/ organic cream cheese and an organic mixed spring green salad on the side. it's fabulous!! their chicken sandwich is great too. the egg is great for egg salad, if you're into that.

      1. The turkey sandwich is great too. As mentioned, the place has a really wonderful atmosphere. Go stop by if you can.

Ezra's is excellent. The coffee is first rate and the staff is extremely friendly. I live around the corner and it's become a daily fixture. The food is simple, fresh and nicely presented. They recently got a liquor license and have an interesting assortment of beer and wine available. It's one of those places that you hope everyone else won't discover, an independent gem....
