Looking for Dinner spot for 12

ski165 Jan 14, 2008 02:18 PM

Hey all. Visiting your great city in a couple weeks for a 40th birthday celebration. We are doing a group dinner on Sat. night for 12 and would like some suggestions for the Quarter or canal districts. Price is not a huge variable, but would prefer something moderate. As for cuisine we would really like something cajun, but quality and atmosphere are the most important variables.

Cochon. It is not creole, more home style with a modern twist. But it is definitely a great atmosphere and moderately priced.

I have to agree. I went to Cochon this weekend and while I was there, a group of about 25 came in. The staff at Cochon did a really good job of taking care of them. The food is amazing. Try the chicken livers and the pig and tounge salad.

I don't normally recommend Emeril's based on the food alone, but it is a great place for a party. They have a beautiful wine room right off of the dining room that easily could accommodate you.
