Steakhouses in Boston

Hello,

I am looking for a recommendation for a good, reasonably priced steakhouse in Boston. I know the area well, but haven't lived there in 10 years, and things have changed. It is just for a group of friends getting together, nothing fancy, just great steaks. Thanks for an advice!

I'll second Frank's and Stockyard as the best "reasonably priced" steak spots locally. Would not consider Grill 23, Oak Room, or Fleming's to be remotely in this price range, though the first two are certainly very good.

another suggestion for not over-priced would be the StockYard in Brighton

@cambridgeMike.....If you go to that link you posted, my suggestion was to go to the Stockyard also. We have been going there for years. The food is always good.

Unfortunately there's not much in between the almost interchangeable high priced chains and the crap at the bottom (Outback, Bugaboo, Longhorn). Frank's is probably the only one that remotely fits the bill, but opinions are mixed.

I'll throw my vote in for Oak Room. It's expensive but they are a notch above the other big steakhouses in Boston. Frank's is decent but not at the higher end price points.

            Grill 23 has my vote.

I think Grill23 is the best of boston for steak; if $39-$59/steak matches your definition of "reasonably priced" then you should definitly go there.

Fleming's Steakhouse by the Park Plaza, while still very expensive is a few dollars cheaper for entrees than the other big chains. A nice atmopshere too.

Best place for a good 'reasonable' steak is Frank's Steakhouse on Mass Ave. in Cambridge.
