perplexed

The critiques of the Temple restaurant in the new Renaissance Hotel in the old Masonic Temple in Providence RI give me hypertension. I am arranging a birthday party for 10 with a one night stayover for breakfast in the morning and now I'm expecting stuffies for breakfast and fish and chips for dinner. Should I head to Long John Silver instead and save a fortune?

I have heard very little that is positive about this place, but have never gone myself (due to the bad reviews). Besides iffy food, it has turned into a loud obnoxious bar. There are so many other better places you could choose in the city.

      Ditto!
We have been, for dinner + drinks at the bar, and the food was miserably bad and not cheap either, ambiance nothing interesting in any way, and overall pretentious.

It's funny, I went during restaurant week (which if I'm not mistaken, was close to when they opened) and the food was very impressive. But I haven't been back to eat since...
