Brunch in Irvine/Costa Mesa?

Looking for a place to have Sunday brunch near the Orange County Performing Arts Center/South Coast Plaza. Type of food isn't that important, as long as it's good. Looking for a casual atmosphere, nothing stuffy.

    Thanks so much for the replies. I checked out their websites, and I think we're going to go to Plum's. Do you recommend anything in particular there?

      I was just there. Wanting something on the "basic" side, I ordered something that I think was called like a Pacific Northwest waffle. It was awesome. Smothered in fresh berries and homemmade whipped cream (not ReddiWhip!!!). Top it with high quality maple syrup and it was awesome! My friends who had omelettes were also very satisfied. However, our waitress was not very good at all.
      I would also recommend Memphis. That place is awesome any time of day! Very unique offerings compared to what is usually served in the area.

        I had that waffle too the one time I went to Plums. I remember it looking very good with all the berries but I can't remember how it tasted! The waitress we had originally was nice enough, but when she left the waitress we got wasn't very good. My friend found some egg shells in her omlette which isn't fun. We had a rather lackluster experience, but then again my expectations were on the high side since I read so many good reviews for Plums.

        How about Plum's in Costa Mesa? Is it still around?

          I love both Plums and Side Street, but while they are both in Costa Mesa, there are about six miles away from the OCPA. However, on a Sunday there shouldn't be any traffic on the 55 freeway.

          Side Street Cafe is great. The food is hearty and good at a very good price.

            Memphis Cafe should fit the bill. It is about one mile up Bristol St. from OCPA.
