As always, depends what you're looking for...

LWH is a very beautiful room with top-notch, hotel-style service... but I while I have no specific complaints with the food, I wasn't blown away.

So, I think that if it's an occasion where you want the formality and service that LWH can guarantee - splurge. But I don't think LWH otherwise knocks it out of the park.

Charles, any idea how much LTH's tasting menu costs and how many dishes do you get to sample? Is this for lunch or dinner? I'm thinking of taking my parents there when they come visit in Feb.

No. Food is fine but not special, given the price and service is certainly not even hotel-style... it's just plain bad. Visit their sister restaurant Lai Toh Heen at Mt.Pleasant, south of Eglinton. Good food, excellent service, beautiful 'non-tired' decor... and yes, nice bathrooms... ;)
