Taster's Choice is THE BEST instant coffee!! I love good 'regular' coffee and espresso and I still drink Taster's Choice every morning. Totally different from other instant coffees (which I cannot/will not drink because they are bitter and generally horrible-tasting). And it gives a good caffeine boost!

I'm not a big fan of instant coffee, I love the real thing but.... my husband loves it! This is his brand of 'gourmet' instant, an dI have to admit it's pretty good. Form Israel ( I think) but you can buy it here in any middle eastren store, and I THINK Loblaws Superstore. It's called Elite.

Seriously, 'gourmet' and 'instant coffee' are pretty much the definition of oxymoron. The only time I can think that you might want to use it is in baking, in a recipe where you couldn't substitute actual espresso/strong coffee.
