Best Place to Eat at 3:00?

I don't work a regular 9 to 5 schedule, and I often don't have a lunch break until 3:00 in the afternoon. I was just wondering if there are any non-chain type restaurants in the Hollywood/Downtown/Westside area that serve lunch during this time. I enjoy eating in upscale restaurants, but my schedule often doesn't allow me to eat at such places, at least during the day.

Musso & Frank's. 3 p.m. is the very best time to eat. They're just turning on the grill, the martinis are cold, and you'll have the place to yourself. But for God's sake, don't order any of the ready dishes.

they turn on the grill at 3pm. does that mean you won't be able to order grilled steaks or chops before that time?

Both on Beverly Blvd. near Fairfax - the Authentic Cafe and Red are yummy with interesting menus. Don't know if Angeli on Melrose is still good, it used to be. Tea at the Checkers Hotel downtown is a meal in itself, you won't believe it. And there's always the funky old Pantry downtown. Mexico City on Hillhurst. May think of more.

What a great question and great suggestions. Ciudad has a food & drinks happy hour beginning at 3, or you could try Pacific Dining Car. Most Chinese places are open throughout the afternoon, as is TOT in Little Tokyo.
