Farewell, Mayflower Cuisinier

Steve Green Jan 12, 2008 11:25 AM

Tonight, one of our favorite Las Vegas restaurants, Mayflower Cuisinier, closes forever.
We will miss their wonderful, flavorful meals. Ming See Woo is a truly talented chef.

All is not lost, however. The Woo family is opening a new restaurant, Woo, in the Palazzo in April+-.

I'm really sorry to hear this! While the hordes flocked to the celebrity chef places on the strip, I always found refuge while in Vegas on business at Mayflower. Quiet & comfortable with fantastic food and attentive service.

But, glad to hear that Ming See Woo will still be cooking. Where and what is the Palazzo?

Palazzo is the new resort, sort of connected to the Venetian but on the corner.

As I understand it, the executive chef will be one of Ming See Woo's sons, but Ming will still be doing some cooking at lunch. Different menus from Mayflower, but some of the same flavors.

Thanks for the heads up. Never made it to MC, and just found the online menu. Looks like great stuff. I will look forward to the new restaurant.

Woo's is celebrating their one year anniversary by bringing back some of Mayflower's best dishes on Monday, April 6th.
