Parco Cafe Nashville open for lunch

Had lunch at Parco Cafe in Printers Alley yesterday. They changed hands and are now open for lunch. The menu is much abbreviated, though. There are a couple of soups, four sandwiches and two specials and that's about all. I had a curried seafood soup under a pastry dome and my friend had a sort of fusion coquille St Jacques with a salad of chilled sauteed bok choy and julienne bell peppers. Really good, and only about $20 for both of us!

  1. Does the new chef/owner make Mr. Fu's special veggie burger?

I was going to ask the same thing, Jennie. That veggie burger is my favorite!

    2. What happened to Mr. & Mrs. Fu???

I think I heard that they're on kind of a sabbatical in China, and will return in a few months.

No, they sold it to one of Mr. Fu's students. They have moved back to China permanently. Discussed on the Nashville Scene Food Blog (Bites):

The veggie burger is still on the menu, and there's also a version with ham.

      2. A very mediocre review of this "new" restaurant in today's Tennessean.

"Mediocre" is putting it nicely. That's about the harshest review I've ever seen from Jim Myers.

I saw that too. He only talked about dinner though. I wonder if he ate any lunches and how those items compared to what Mr. Fu cooked.

I miss eating lunch at the farmer's market stand every Sunday.
