French toast cravings

I am a native New Yorker and no one here in Hawaii can come close To NY's french toast. I saw a board where people put their faves. I do not like the fancy french toasts. I like my plain and had a wonderful experience at Jerry's downtown. I am coming back to NY for a visit in March and if someone knows where I can get my french toast moist yet cooked with just maple syrup, Please let me know. ps. I once tried Paris commune and found it odd tasting. I liked "Good enough to eat" but it was not the same as before Aloha

Thank you all. I am just looking for a breakfast french toast. I will try the flea market, since it seems to be near the bed and breakfast I will be staying in. Thank you Leah baila Yes, I am very lucky. I moved here a long time ago. I am from 2 islands Manhattan and Oahu. But the french toast here sucks. dry and tastless with margarine yuch. I miss Jerry's moist almost custardly raw inside. I have also been disappointed in some NY places. Is Good enough to eat still downhill. It used to have a good french toast. aloha

Wow Jerry's closed bummers as we say in Hawaii. Where is the flea market and if anyone else has others I would appreciate it. Ah eggy french toast yum
