Hey, does anyone know where I can find one of those sushi restaurants that has a little moat around the sushi bar and floats plates of sushi to the people sitting around the bar?
I know that these restaurants don't usually have the best sushi, but I have a friend who really wants to take her parents to a restaurant set up like this.
Can't vouch for the sushi (never been), but here's what you're looking for:
Afloat Sushi on Colorado in Pasadena
Here's what one Citysearch reviewer said:
"Afloat Sushi is set up with the sushi bar in the middle, and the seats all round it in a complete oval. The catch is that instead of serving the sushi like a normal bartender, it comes on little sushi boats in a waterway encircling eating area. So as food floats by, you pick up and eat items that look good. You can custom order as well, but the delivery is the same. In the end, you're charged by the number of plates piled in front of you. Very entertaining, a great place for a first date."
