Can you clarify, are you looking for a pork belly dish at a restaurant or pork belly at a grocery? Or both?

believe it or not, i've purchased berkshire natural in the freezer case next to the shabu shabu meats at 99 ranch in irvine.

The freezer section at the Ranch 99 in Van Nuys frightens me. And what is that smell in there? However, if you ignore the creep factor you can find some really fresh meats in there.

the smell might be durian fruit. very smelly. our pork belly was pristinely packaged and is alongside the shabu shabu meats (also well packaged).

If it smells like a natural gas leak, then it's probably the durian.

You can buy fresh pork belly or side pork at any Chinese or Korean markets here in LA in the butcher section. If you're looking for pork belly dishes, very few restaurants serve "kau yuk" or Chinese pot roast pork because it is what you would refer to it as "poor man's food". The old Cantonese places used to serve them but rarely now at the higher end restaurants. It's usually prepared with bean curd if you see it on menus.

We just saw Fresh Pork Belly at the Ranch Market on Lincoln in Altadena:
            Farm Fresh Ranch Market
            2260 Lincoln Ave
            Altadena, CA 91001
            (626) 296-3900
This is a really nice store. Big and clean with a lot of intersesting meats and a nice produce selection. We also saw nice looking fresh octopus large and small as well.

The pork belly appetizer at Grace is amazing. If you are looking for a more casual place, Musha also has a pretty good pork belly dish on their menu.
