Which One - or Two - Places Do You Go Most Frequently?
I'd love to hear all of your responses. I was thinking about this today, and for some reason it seems like we end up at West Town Tavern quite often. We've been at least 4 or 5 times in the last year/year and a half and are going again tonight! This time it's planned w/ a reservation, although it's usually our middle-of-the-week haunt.
We absolutely love the ambiance there and the food - for what it is and what it's priced at - is really quite wonderful. Service is typically great, but we have had one or two snafus before. Never to a point of not considering going back, though.
Other go-to places for us are our neighborhood sushi joints... We have been to several great restuarants more than once, but I think WTT wins the prize! With so many fantastic restaurants in Chicago, what are some that we might be missing? All genres welcome!
I eat my main meal at lunch, and Custom House is my most frequented place (at least once a week). Portions are the right size for me because I like to eat several courses. I go to Le Colonial quite often, too.
Well, let's face it - geographical proximity is probably the deciding factor for most people. There is a Thai place within a mile of home that I eat (dine-in or carry-out) at least once every couple of weeks, and the nearby Giordano's maybe once a month. Furthermore, when I'm not eating within a few miles of home, I'm likely to be trying different places I've never been to, so I tend not to keep going back to places that are some distance from home. The one exception to the latter rule is Flamingo's Seafood in Mount Prospect, which is not particularly close to home, but where I've been dining fairly often, perhaps once every other month. Mostly to introduce it to friends who have never been there and hear me rave about it.
