My soon-to-be 4 year old son will be celebrating his birthday while a group of us will be visiting the Berkshires and skiing Butternut. I would like to get him a birthday cake at a bakery that Chowhounds would recommend around Great Barrington. Thanks!

Try Guido's. They have an amazing bakery section over there. If you give them a call, they can probably help you. Guido's is a treat. Very special.

My favorite cakes in the area come from Cakewalk on Main Street in Lee. A bit of a drive, but worth it!

Yes Cakewalk is nice but I would have to agree with Guido's. However, it is The Marketplace (in Guido's) that make the cakes. They have a commercial kitchen in Gt. Barrington and can be contacted directly. Good luck.
