Arepa lady's recipe?

I have lost the recipe from a few years back, of the Sainted Arepa Lady's special arepa con queso blanco. All my searches led only to the Atlantic.com which requires subscription (not free). Does anyone have that recipe still?

Thanks!

Is this it? I wouldn't be surprised if the A.L. uses margarine instead of butter.

Thanks! This is probably the closest one I'll find. I was hoping to find the Interview with her from way back. I think a recipe was given during the interview.

      I'll try this one soon.

I just use the harina de maiz precocido (precooked -- this is what makes them great), salt, pepper, butter AND toss in some grated cheese into the dough.

I make arepas using all sorts of cheese -- and I even make a pizzarepa: I use mozzarella and provolone and add whatever pre-cooked pizza toppings I'm in the mood to eat. quite yummy!

How much cheese do you use: a cup, or more? I follow this recipe myself but my husband thinks it doesn't have as much cheese as the ones he's bought on the street.
