After reading the horrid write up on ISA from a while back, I am reconsidering checking this place out. Any recent experiences to change my opinion?

Good to hear. I am always willing to write off an anomaly as just that.

I have been going to Isa rather frequently since it opened - it is walking distance from my home. It is the place that we often celebrate bdays and such. I am shocked at the write-up you posted as I have never witnessed anything even close to such behavior which, I agree, would be excruciatingly uncomfortable. As a side note, the "yeller" was described as 5'9" tall. The restaurant is owned by Luke and Kitty Sung - Luke is considerably taller than that, so I don't think this could have been him. I, too, have been greeted by both Luke and Kitty - I have never seen them be anything other than respectful of each other, their employees and their customers. I've never heard anyone else report a similar experience to that suffered by the diner in 2002, and trust it is an anomaly.
Furthermore, I love the food there. My favorites are the chicken and the rissoto - we usually get a red meat as well. We were there about 3 weeks ago and had a delicious lamb dish - along with the chicken, of course. I frequently recommend Isa to others and have always heard positive feedback. I think you should give it a try.
