At least that is the rumor the Chicago Tribune TV writer posted this morning.

It's definitely March 12. I saw the promo today on Bravo. Looks excellent, I've been going through withdrawls.

Yeah! And hopefully this is going to be the year they'll realize thay have to drop Padma.

Actually, I think Padma is an integral part of Top Chef.

Last season was the best and I'm just hoping that this season the contestants will not be a bunch of whiny pants similar to TC2.

I think they learned their lesson after TC2. TC3 was much better, and based on the TC4 background bios, seems like they're continuing with focus on cooking vs. drama.

I guess whenever Project Runway ends, TC4 will start up - can't wait!

Additional info on the new cast:

ETA: after reading their bios on Bravo's website, I'd say it's a safe bet we're going to see lamb on the menus quite frequently. Six of them have lamb as their "favorite Spring recipe". :-)

I watched PR, didn't see the ad. I usually fold laundry or whatever during commercials. :-)

Oooooo bios! BIOS! I was complaining the other day how much I miss Top Chef. This should help me out for awhile. Thanks Linda.

LOL! Glad I could help, Elyssa! Now we just have to wait a month and a half. :-)

Yes, I’ve read that elsewhere, including the site below, and figure Bravo has issued a press release somewhere.

In other Top Chef related news, I think Tre Wilcox from last season will be appearing on Iron Chef 2/24/08, probably as sous chef to chef brothers Rathbun based on the following:

I actually talked to Tre about his battle alongside the Rathbun's before the episode was taped. He was very excited about the battle. One thing that I didn't know is that the contestants are given forewarning of possible ingredients well before the show is taped. If memory serves me, they were given 3 possible secret ingredients and could then work out menus weeks before the taping. Don't be surprised if the episode is Battle Peach.

Thanks, Butani. I'm looking forward to the episode. Any guesses as to which Iron Chef they go up against? I get the impression that is also sometimes known ahead.

let's just hope that if it is peach, tre doesn't try to make a cobbler ;)
