Food Near (but not in) IKEA

Is there a good place for lunch within a reasonable driving distance of the IKEA at Leslie and Sheppard?

  1. Oliver Bonnacini Grill at bayview. The food is always well executed and the service fast and efficient. Nothing "cutting edge" but they always get the basics right.

There is also a decent Chinese place in the same mall.

    2. If you feel like Italian, there is a place called Pisano's on Willowdale, which isnt far. It's casual, family style and reasonably priced.

      1. If you don't mind takeout, there's the Hungarian Honey Bear, on Sheppard about 1 light west of Bayview. It's in the same plaza as KFC (shudder). You can get yummy schnitzel sandwiches or try whatever is on their hot table that day. Offerings usually include stuffed peppers, cabbage rolls, rice, etc. Plus the place is chock full of dry goods from Hungary. Be warned, though -- it's a very tiny place and can get packed during peak lunch hour.

          4777 Leslie Street, North York - (416) 490-7888

2766 Victoria Park Ave, Toronto, ON M2J4A8, CA

          1. Congee Wong is in a plaza on Leslie and Finch. Asian Legend (if you like the place) is in the same plaza. And the Chinese bakery inside near the grocery is very good. They have the best bbq pork bun rolls I've ever tried. On the other side of the plaza, there's a place that sells excellent chinese bbq as well.
