I'm new and have posted a few messages. When I click the "post" button, the system churns and then freezes and I need to exit IE7 through Task Manager. When I come back to the site, my messages are posted. Is there something I'm doing that's wrong that's causing IE7 and Chowhound to freeze?
We occasionally get reports from different people (usually Safari users) that they have problems with their browser crashing when they post. Unfortunately, there doesn't seem to be a simple cause that Engineering can fix to make it not happen.
My current speculation is that it might be memory related, but that's only because I occasionally have some wonky problems with CH when my memory is running low on my system, but that's my best guess. Does it make a difference if you've been browsing the Internet for awhile before you post vs. if you just newly open your web browser and immediately start posting?
