North OC lunch?

I am looking for a place for a good, leisurely lunch in the North OC (around La Habra) area. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Right in La Habra is El Taco Nazo and Molcasalsa, but I suspect you're looking for something better -- how about one of the places in Uptown Whittier? Taps, in Brea?

There's a Mario's Peruvian & Seafood just west of Santa Gertrudes and Imperial, next to Mike's that's more than happy to let you go slow.

Not fancy, but you should try Alicia's in Brea. Everything homemade and super fresh, with daily soups and specials. Plus dessert comes with your meal! Love it!

Alicia's is so weird. It's like attached to all these offices and the gift shop inside! I guess I went on a bad day or something but I got the Torta which I didn't like all too much but the snickerdoodle cookie was really delicious. I heard that the Pink Cloud sandwich is good though.

Well anyways, there's like a NY style pizza place called Mammalucco's in Brea which is good. You could get a slice of Chicago style pizze at Tony's Little Italy in Fullerton. There's Oishi in Placentia which is great for sushi (Ichiban in Brea is also good though I've heard the quality has gone down.) I recommend that you try searching yelp.com and just type in city names and they'll give you the best restaurants in the city.

It is kind of a weird place but I like the food and bottled soda selection. Their house salad is called a "coochie salad". ???

I used to go to Ichiban often years ago. On my last visit in Fall 2007, I was disappointed. The "meat" of the sushi was smaller than I remembered. My favourite sushi restaurant in North OC is Fun Sushi Momo which closed when their lease was not renewed. Good news is that they may reopen in downtown Fullerton. I too have hear that Oishi is good, but haven't tried it myself.

I 2nd Das U's Molcasalsa...but they're a take out place w/just a couple seats outside; on the NE corner of Imp Hwy & Harbor Blvd.

If you're willing to venture south on Harbor into Fullerton, I'd recommend The Olde Ship for English food or Rutabegorz for healthy & filling fare (their desserts & shakes are delicious!).

Though I haven't been in years, The Cat & The Custard Cup in La Habra might be worth a visit.

            Rutabegorz Restaurant
            211 N Pomona Ave, Fullerton, CA 92832

            The Olde Ship
            709 N Harbor Blvd, Fullerton, CA 92832

            Cat & the Custard Cup
800 E Whittier Blvd, La Habra, CA 90631

Love Molcasalsa. There's one on Beach as well. Great rolled tacos. Okay I'm starving now.

I live in La Habra Hts and would love to recommend dinner at Cat and Custard Cup but since you're looking for lunch and want to stay in La Habra, try El Cholo. If Uptown Whittier is close enough, try California Grill on Painter. They have a nice menu. If Brea is closer, go to Yard House, Taps, or Cheesecake Factory. If you don't mind driving to Fullerton, try Heroes or Roscoe's for a great sandwich.
