  • 3

Coming to San Fran for 1 day, 1 night. Staying at the St. Regis. Looking for a great lunch spot, Maybe in Chinatown. Also need a great dinner spot. Looking for AMAZING FOOD...no restrictions heading to Napa after San Fran... Has anyone eaten at Auberge du Soliel? Thanks in advance

  1. You might get a better response if you read this topic first: http://www.chowhound.com/topics/469166

    1. If I were staying at the St. Regis, I'd eat at Ame. I haven't yet, but it seems to get the most consistently positive reviews of all the high-end restaurants in SF.

      Good, recent Chinatown thread:

      1. If I were staing at the St. Regis I would eat at Ame. One of the 4 or 5 best restaurants in SF and unlike the others, a style of food that is much more unique to SF than the other top candidates.

Auberge is beautiful but the food is not commensurate with the prices. Not nearly.

I know it isn't necessarily the most exicitng reccomendation, but I have to say, I really like Martini House in Napa.
