Dessert in Back Bay?

Friday night we're finally hitting La Voile. Since it's date night I'd love to go somewhere else for dessert and after dinner drinks. It'd be nice to just be able to walk somewhere. Normally I would do Bristol Lounge but since that's closed I need another rec. I was thinking maybe the bar or lounge at the Taj? Any other thoughts? Thanks.

I highly recomend the cheese plate at Troquet. If you like cheese for dessert.

You really can't go wrong with the Molten chocolate cake at Morton's.

Tapeo is close by. You could get a table or sit at the bar and order Spanish desserts (filloa, flan, manchego/mebrillo, etc.), ports, cordials, and coffees.

depending what type of crowd you like but the bar @ Taj is more of a 50+ kind of bar.

Clio is a good but pricey choice.

Oddly enough, try Mooo on Beacon. Both the mousse and the chocolate cake there are unbelievable.

La Voile has a lovely cheese course if that interests you at all. I know it's not Back Bay but Pop's in the South End has a fabulous warm chocolate cake with a really gooey center and served with loads of whipped cream.

Petit Robert Bistro has some great desserts. But, my current fav is right there ar La Voile-- the chocolate cake!

I've noticed that Sasso has a souffle that sounds good, can't vouch for it tho.
