What does the error message say? And are you opening the 'my chow' menu (using the little arrow) and choosing 'reading list' or are you clicking on 'my chow', going to the page of your recent posts and then choosing 'reading list'?

Sorry, something's not working with this page. The CHOW team has been notified and will check it out.

You can go to the CHOW home, or go back to the previous page."

Both ways gives me this error.

I asked about the different ways of getting there, because some times login is messed up on chow.com and fine on chowhound.com -- but if that had been the issue, you wouldn't be able to do the second option, because you wouldn't be logged in.

That's otherwise strange. Occasionally something about a user's profile will get messed up and threads they've participated in will also get messed up and cause errors like that.

Who is on your reading list (if you'd rather not say publicly, shoot us an email at moderators@chowhound.com)? I can look into their recent history and see if there are any of those kinds of problems elsewhere.

I'm not showing any other issues with those posters, so I'm not sure what else I can check. I can raise a defect to Engineering, but a problem that's only affecting one user is likely to be hard to find/fix, unfortunately.

Oh! Great news.

Sometimes this stuff does sort of come and go for reasons we never really figure out -- something gets corrupted somewhere and causes an error and then it falls off the page and poof fixed. I'm glad it's working for you now.

Just a note -
I've noticed that when I get the "error page", most often it is from clicking a link on a page where some script has "hung-up".
I do a force refresh of the page (shift + reload) and the problem usually goes away.
