Casual Dining in Manahawkin?

My daughter has a dance compeition coming up in spring at the Stafford township Art Center in Manahawkin. Are there any places nearby that offer a diversified menu and isn't a chain? Thie kids are all 14 years old and we will have several hours to kill. Thanks.

Another good choice is Mud City Crab House on Bay Avenue. They're very family friendly and accommodating...and the food is excellent.

The Stafford Diner on the westbound side of 72 is the typical diner menu -- big. Food can be hit or miss, but the diner staples are all OK.

Francesco's is also in the Shoprite plaza and they serve very good italian food and make all different kinds of pizza. They have a pizzaria setup on one side and a restaurant on the other. Both are casual, though.

Makoto in the Shoprite Shopping Center is 2 minute drive from Arts Center. They
have very popular Hibachi tables which is great for large groups. The kids all seem to really like it. New Restaurant on McKinley Avenue, also very close to Arts Center is
The Garlic Grill. Good Italian food, nice decor.

I tried Makoto recently, and although the food-tossing will entertain most kids, I can't recommend it. Everything tasted like salt.
