Hi - we're in Boston on business on Sunday and Monday - any suggestions for good Italian (or nay good ethnic)? We're staying in Kendal Square/MIT area. Thanks - Neil

Hi Niel -- I see you posted the same question in May of last year. How did you make out with any of those recommendations? Most of them are still good .. especially the Helmand and Mulan.

I'd suggest a trip to the North End for your italian fix - numerous good places. A quick search will give you highlights on board favorites.

If you haven't tried Helmand, go there. Otherwise, you might want to try some delicious Portuguese food at Portugalia or Atasca, which are close to the Kendall area, a short taxi ride away.

Anise in Kendall Square does really fantastic and slightly upscale Sichuan with plenty of chile and Sichuan pepper. Unfortunately, it's in a poor location and generally seems empty -- which is too bad -- but I've been a big fan of the food there since they opened.
