Chocolate covered halva

I'm looking for a place where I can buy chocolate covered halva - it's a treat that a friend has been raving about that she used to eat "back home". Does anyone know where I can get these - preferably north of Toronto - Markham, Richmond Hill, Thornhill, etc... But I'll drive anywhere if needed...

  1. Try this Turkish store. I would call them up first.

    Marche Istanbul -
3220 Dufferin (Dufferin & Orfus RD.)
    Tel: (416) 782-8668

    1. If you have to come further south, try the Arz Bakery on Lawrence Avenue East (between Pharmacy and Warden). Maybe call first but they're tops in middle eastern sweets.

      1. Daiter's on Bathurst, north of Lawrence. Most "jewish style" bakeries in the Bathurst corridor - especially at Bathurst and Steeles and at between Wilson and Lawrence on Bathurst.
Gladstone's at the Promenade. They probably have it at Sababa in the grocery section on Steeles, west of Yonge.

I'm 99.9% sure that Sobey's at Hilda & Clarke carries a ton of different Halva varieties.

        2. I get it from Dominion at Bathurst and Lawrence
