Union Square Cafe -- What to order?!?!

Hello all,

I am new to the board and couldn't find any recent searches on what to order at Union Sq. Cafe. I have a reservation tomorrow night and am excited but am unsure of what to get. I normally steer clear of fish, fyi. Also, I've been told that the potato chips are not to be missed.

Thanks,

Beefchowfun

I would say go for the lobster pasta with orange olive oil. Its amazing..... and i mean, lobster's not a fish, right? :)

that sounds amazing but I don't see that on the menu on their website. Is that a special? Also, am I right about the potato chips? For 7 bucks I hope they are better than pringles...The creamy polenta sounds good and there is a veal cheek special tonight according to their website.

oh man that looks like a winner. Has anyone been to USC lately?

That makes two for the banana tart. USC used to be really popular back in the day and it's still on the opentable.com top 5, along with tourist traps like Tao. The most memorable dish I had was the incredible banana tart. I still remember it. Otherwise the food was very greenmarket, seasonal and fresh. I haven't been in ages. You might want to do a search of this site for recent hound experiences and opinions.
