ramp festivals, WV, VA, TN

Hey trying to plan a trip to a ramp festival this spring. Any tips on the best and biggest fest?

Hi Trev! Waynesville, NC has hosted Ramp Festival for as long back as one can remember. It is held either the first or second weekend every May. Waynesville, NC is 30 miles west of Asheville on I-40. You'll see intermittent Waynesville posts on CH. Wonderful, charming town you are sure to love. (Waynesville is in Haywood County on the Tennessee border, zip code 28786)

Haven't been to all of them so can't compare, but the one in Cosby, TN is pretty great. Lots of games and booths and ramps. There's a Miss Ramp contest and lots of local music like gospel and bluegrass. And the area is just gorgeous -- you'll want to come back to camp/hike/canoe etc. cosbyrampfestival.org

I'm planning the same thing. I'm a native West Virginian, so I'm going there. Richwood is supposed to be the biggest in WV, but Elkins is closer to my family home, so I'll probably go there.

I've never been before, so I comment on the best.
