I'm feeling like oxtails...aren't you? I see them at Cuban restaurants like Rincon Crillollo. But what are your favorite preparations? And where do you get it?

I'm hongry!

The ones at Jar are terrific, braised in a bourbon based sauce and served with parsnips.

    2. Or buy them at Cost. Co or Ralph's and cook (braise) them at home.

I ran out to Costco last night, but they didn't have any oxtails. I asked, and they said that they rarely get them. I'll check Ralph's.

Strange, I see them frequently at the Cost. Cos in Culver City and Burbank

Maybe it's just my area then (SGV). I'll look around some more. Thanks, though!

                1. Great suggestions as always from the knowledgeable and responsive hounds. I will try some this weekend - Asian versions sound v. happening. I often buy oxtails at Ralph's and they are a staple in my Super Bowl chili - which, hey, almost time to get started on.
