El Taquito

I was searching for La Hacienda t'day on E.Riverside and wound up at El Taquito. I don't know how long it's been but the inside is open. The trailer is still outside. Had 3 carnitas tacos on yellow corn tortillas. They had a bowl of roasted chiles like El Meson w/roasted tomato salsa, verde, and pico de gallo. Very tasty, melted in my mouth. Had read good reviews of it and finally got around to stopping in. The inside was nice looking although there was a strange smell(dirty dishwater?). The menu is short w/taco and taquitos(is this the same as flautas?) and a few versions of queso, quesadillas.
I did see La Hacienda on the way back. And that's part of the fun of hounding.

I loved El Taquito! I thought their tacos were good, and BIG for $1.59. I really wanted some true "carne asada" but whatever kind of meat they served me was good enough!

    Peace and carne,
