Housemade Soda in restaurants like Manka's
I loved the sodas that Manka's offered. More herbal, savory not syrupy sweet but very crisp and clean. I have not payed attention lately to see if they have been on the menus of the various places I have been dining. I recall Bar Tartine has them.
Anyone know which places makes their own interesting sodas? Thanks
Tinderbox has house-made syrups you can have with wine, water or soda. I have only tried the plum-jasmine and it was lovely. They also do bitter orange, melon mint, grape basil, and quince-vanilla. The night I was there, I ordered the bitter orange originally, but they were out. So maybe all flavors are not available all the time...
At Coi, I know they do their own cassis syrup for Kirs/ Kir Royales, and I noticed they listed some Aftelier Hydrosols on the menu to be mixed with soda or water. Not quite the same as house made, but they sound interesting.
