I'm headed to Ottawa on business tomorrow and was looking for a new place to try. Somewhat casual, laid back, fun atmosphere. I have meetings all day and don't want to sit in a stuffy restaurant for a long meal. Any suggestions will be much appreciated.

We liked The Abbey - casual, decent food, great beer selection.

If a pub atmosphere sounds good to you, then I'd recommend the Manx Pub on Elgin. Great food, good beer (and scotch) and always a crowded and lively atmosphere. The only problem might be finding a table.

Went to this place several months back and really enjoyed the food, menu is now different from when I was there but I would recommend it, easy going atmosphere with great food,

What about Benitz Bistro, have you been there? What do you think?
