Cafe Talesai - disappointing

I ate at the Sunset Talesai about 10 years ago and remembered having a sublime meal there and all the reviews for the less expensive Cafe Talesai in BH were positive, so we gave it a shot tonight.
I was disappointed but I have a feeling it's mostly to do with our choices. My husband doesn't like spicy stuff so that rules out most of the things on the menu that actually looked interesting.
We started with Mee Krob, which we like to try in most Thai places we go to. This one was good because it wasn't as sweet as they usually are but sadly lacking substance. It was mostly all noodles, only two pieces of shrimp and about 5 undercooked pieces of dark meat chicken.
For our entrees we had mongolian beef and a noodle dish called Chicken Noodles. The noodle dish was fine just sort of bland and very light on the sauce. The mongolian beef was dreadful. Soggy, flavorless, barely garnished.
The steamed rice was nice and the dessert we had was great. Fried banana with coconut ice cream served flaming (the banana). The presentation could have done with some flurish.
