fixed price/"friendly neighbor" dinner @ Vida

Last week I took a friend to dinner @ Vida - that Wednesday (and every other) is fixed price night. The advertised price of the night is $21 - plus they offer an accompanying selection of alcoholic bev's for about $8 - confirmed by the nice guy I made reservations with. When we got there we learned the menu was actually $25/person. However, the menu looked GREAT so we didn't fuss.
Will try to remember the courses (the menu was great but we were so deeply engrossed in conversation my reporting skills were left in the car). For starters we had a cold soup with crab stuffed avocado and soba. Next was a salmon (sturgeon?) pizza with mild white cheeses. Main course was a white fish with fresh peas w/ their greens and a mango relish. Dessert was a chocolate confection worth its weight in gold.
Overall, a really good, REALLY fresh meal and an excellent value. Service was attentive and no one hassled us while we sat for almost an hour drinking coffee after our meal (they weren't crowded, but it was nice to just be left alone). The restaurant even had a magician (!) on hand, circulating and amusing diners...he wasn't the best, but it was entertaining. One thing that might bug other people: the music was LOUD and old school punk, rock and disco...maybe not everyone's cup o tea.
