Healthy Post-Holiday Meals

Okay, so we've all put on big lbs after the holiday eating extravaganza. Looking for some meal ideas that are healthy or at least leave you feeling light on your toes after eating, yet will still satisy the Chowhound appetite. Preferably not Vegan or Vegetarian.

My nominations:

1) Fish ceviche at La Playita in Venice
2) Bun Cha at China Beach in Venice
3) California Chicken Cafe

I didn't gain any lbs. either. I lost 35 lbs. between April and October and since I had to buy an entire new wardrobe, I'm adamant about keeping the weight off. I kept up what I'd been doing before the holidays...spacing out the indulgences, getting enough of what I love so that I don't feel deprived. I had a lot of lunches at The Dressing Room, so I could splurge more at dinner, eat more desserts (my downfall) and drink more alcohol. Went to Pizzeria Mozza and pigged out! Ate a lot of sushi. Had the shrimp stir fry salad at 26 Beach Cafe for lunch one day last week - very low cal, dressing on the side. Their miso salad looks to be quite low cal also. Had lots of lunches at California Chicken Cafe - Calif. Chicken Salad, but no pasta, no croutons, no pita, dressing on the side otherwise they put about a gallon on. I did a lot of baking and gave most of it away, but saved a few tastes. Re-gifted the 4 lbs. of See's candy that my husband receives every year from clients, those boxes didn't even get opened in our house! If you're on the Westside, try Eduardo's on Westwood Blvd., you can do a tostada salad without the shell, with grilled chicken, easy on the cheese, skip the sour cream but have some guac. At home, I cooked a lot of roast veggies. There's a BBQ eggplant "salad" at Sri Siam (Vanowen/Coldwater Canyon) that looks to be relatively low cal and it's delicious.
