Brunch Spot for Baby Shower with Private Room?

Hi! I'm looking to throw a baby shower for my sister in February and am having trouble finding an affordable place to hold a brunch in a private setting... $30 per/person would be max. Anyone have ideas?

I am doing mine at Villa Mosconi (great italian place in Greenwich village). With tax & tip included it was 40 something, but its a family run place so they may work with your budget.

Jane (great brunch) may also be in your price range but their may be a time limit & coffee& tea was not included

I know 212 is very "baby shower" accomodating. Its UES.

There is a place in gramercy/murray hill called Choice...high 20s on third. I live in the area and have seen several baby showers being held (evidenced by expectant mothers piling gifts into their double-parked cars ;-) ) Would definitely be in your price range, as they have a prix-fixe brunch including drinks. Food is average to above-average for what it is but not "foodie" caliber if that is a prerequisite.

You could totally do Bowery Bar and Grill. I went to a brunch party there and it was very affordable (under $30/person including 1 drink). The atmosphere is fun and festive and they do have a private party area.

How many people? Any particular neighborhood? And when you say $30 max, is that just for food? Or must it include alcoholic beverages, tax & tip?

I would prefer it being on the East Side (UES, LES, EV), Soho or Nolita... but people will be coming in from all over the city and suburbs so it can really be anywhere.

I believe it will be around 25-30 people and most will be drinking so it would be ideal for the brunch fee to include alcohol. $30 plus tax and tip would be the maximum.

Thanks in advance for any help you can provide!
