I knew it would be bad, but not THIS bad Crazy Fish

sometimes, when with others, one can't pick the restaurant.
last night, the others picked crazy fish on olympic.

wow, was this a terrible choice.

the sushi was terrible, the fish was old, the rice was hard and cold.
the ginger was terrible--very sugary and bland.
they tried to charge us for three items that they never delivered to the table.
even though the restaurant was less than half full, the service was unbelievably slow.

yuck, all the way around

  1. I don't get it. Why does that place do so well? I often notice lines going out the door. I agree with you re the quality of their sushi. Also, I think that their rolls are way to big and kind of hard to manage...

Non-'Hounds somehow manage to keep this awful establishment in business.

We 'Hounds, of course, know better...

    2. Where is this place?

        Does it matter?

I want to make sure I know to avoid, plus I think there is another place called Crazy Fish, do not want to confuse the two. Is that okay with you?

On Olympic at Doheny, in BH. Not to be confused with Fat Fish, which can be good. It is a mystery for all time that a place as bad as Crazy Fish can survive in a sushi town like LA. I'd sooner eat sushi from Ralph's.

There's only one Crazy Fish on Olympic...

        2. Crazy Fish is a big hang out for kids from Beverly Hills High. Often a line out the door, despite the poor food. Just down the street (west on Olympic to Beverly Drive and turn right) is the excellent Sushi Sushi. If you are in the neighborhood, that is the place to go for sushi. (Though Mako is just up Beverly from Sushi Sushi and has some excellent sushi with an Asian fusion twist.)
