Good Date Restaurant for TONIGHT

Need help finding a good restaurant for a first date somewhere in the lower west side (West Village, Meatpacking, Chelsea). I'm looking for a place that isn't over the top, with good food and atmosphere. Any cuisine works...I just need suggestions. Thanks!

Gascogne would be perfect for you, though it's just a little bit east of Union Square. It's a very romantic spot, with great food, wine and service.

Otherwise, Snack Taverna in the W. Village would fit the bill, as well.

Alta is probably my faovirte first date spot, great tapas on 10th st between 5th and 6th ave.

Malatesta at Washington & Christopher, cash only Italian, has some really nice pasta dishes and is very reasonably priced.

I've always been happy with both, Alta will cost you a bit more, but they make great sangria and it's fun to share dishes. Good luck!

      May be Crispo or Cookshop?
