Piccolo Mulino in Mamaroneck

HateCooking Jan 5, 2008 09:48 AM

Just wanted to share my thoughts on this often overlooked Italian gem in Mamaroneck. Piccolo Mulino (not to be confused with Mulino's in White Plains) is lovely! True, the dining room is tiny, and the tables are close together, but the food is excellent and the service is prompt and kind. Rather than claustrophobic, they've always made me feel cozy. The gnocchi, in particular, is melt-in-your-mouth superb.

I like them a lot too. They're right across the street from my apartment, so they're easy to get to. I like the outdoor patio, but service can be really slow when you eat there.

Ack. I have their website open and I still can't picture where they are. Are they before the turn into the downtown area, Avalondaughter? Near the good Italian bread store and past the firehouse?

They're on the first block up from Rte 1 -- they back up to the library/Emelin parking lot.
