Any lobster/seafood shacks open in Maine?

Help! We are heading up this afternoon (between Wells and Portland) and wanted to hit a shack. Is ANYTHING decent open this time of year?

  1. Robert's Maine Grill on Rte. 1 in Kittery, across the road from Bob's Clam Hut would be a decent option today. It's owned & run by the same family and is slightly more upscale.
The original Bob's is also open, as well.

It's so good to see you back. We all missed your humor and wit. Planning a trip up to Maine in a couple of weeks, so it's good to see some places still open.

      3. About 2-3 miles north of Bob's Clam Hut on Rte. 1 is a seafood shack open at least to 5:00 pm which I think is named York's Best Seafood on the west side of Rte. 1. There lobster rolls are very good especially if you are craving one.

        1. Thanks for all the help. We didn't end up having enough time to hit Maine, so we opted for Newburyport instead and stopped in a Bob Lobster. Great as usual. Clam roll heaping with perfectly fried clams (fairly large...yum!). Cole slaw fresh and crunchy. A cup of hot fish chowder also hit the spot...nice a thin with a nice buttery taste without being heavy or overwhelming. A bit cold sitting in their dining area. Only a lowly gas stove in the corner, but we braved the cold for the delicious food!
