Going to Morimoto next week, what to order?

It will be my first time to Morimoto. Is Omakase good in Morimoto or should I order from the menu? Thank you!

  1. We had the omakase when we went and whie it was pretty good I would go a la carte next time. I highly recommend the angry lobster and the Wagyu beef filet.

    1. Are you referring to the omakase in front of the chef ($200)? There is a chef tasting ($120) which is not nearly as good and I was disappointed. The real omakase is a completely different experience and I will highly recommend it.

      As for a la carte, I will suggest avoiding the sushi and sashimi which is a few notches lower than say Yasuda or Ushiwakamu. Cooked dishes are better.
