Carmel - Caviar, Champagne, Cheese, Chocolate and Canine Chow ... opinions on Bubbly Fish Cafe?

Someone asked about it and doing a little Googling it looks good.

A few reviews

From the second link ...

"And luxury is what Bubbly Fish is all about ... Here is a place for Champagne, caviar, exquisite cheeses, pâtés, handcrafted spiced meats, truffle-flavored everything and gourmet chocolates ... This is about celebrating, blowing the budget and having a good story to tell afterward."

Link to Bubbly Fish Cafe website is on the place record

The even offer a 3-course prix-fixe menu for your dog ... something for a real doggie in the doggie bag ... it starts with Gaz”pooch”o and ends with an organic dog biscuit.

Has anyone been here?

Four of us went there on the Saturday after Thanksgiving. We only planned to havea drink and a snack. (We were trying to hit as many places as we could before we got to full.) We thought the service was outstanding-friendly, knowledgeable, but not overbearing and very unpretentious. Drinks were good and unusual. I had a glass of wine, but my husband had an unusually good bloody Mary type of drink. Can't remember the others. Snacks were yummy- house-made potato chips with truffle salt ($3.95) and these yummy fried risotto balls stuffed with truffle cheese. The decor is a little 80's, but I will certainly go back for a meal.
