<content>AYCE - All you can eat

HHC who clues me in on good eats near me, sent me a tip about this motorcycle sales, repair and tattoo shop that has a Saturday morning all-you-can-eat waffles, bacon &amp; mimosa special for $7.

I'm passing this tip on. Despite all the places I've braved over the years, I hit the wall here. I'm just too damn old to go here.

It's a very nice looking place.
http://www.godspeedoakland.com/shop/cafe.html

Even though the website says "People from all walks of life congregate here to enjoy the freshest foods, a selection of over 20 ice-cold beers, all manner of Espresso drinks and a great wine selection." ....

... I just sat in my car and stared and stared at the joint and couldn't work up the courage to walk inside. I think it was the neon 'tattoo' sign that pushed things over the line for me.

Maybe someone on Chowhound has eaten here or tried the waffle/bacon/mimosa feast and could tell us about it ... anyone?

<content>I love it -- a politically correct biker cafe: "All of our bread is baked fresh daily at the local Metropolis Bakery, our fresh meats are only of the highest quality and all of our produce is 100% organic from local farmers. We also have a liberal vegetarian menu."</content>

      <content>Yep ... one regular menu item ...

Niman Ranch all beef hot dog, bratwurst or Italian sausage $3.50

add grilled onions, sauerkraut or grilled peppers - $4.00

The prices for other food and beverages are good too. Domestic beer is $2.

To be clear, waffles and bacon are all you can eat ... one mimosa. Additional mimosas are $3. </content>

<content>To be even clearer, the $7 includes all you can eat waffles, one mimosa, and one side order of bacon. Still a good deal in my opinion, though I don't think I'm apt to go there, either. (Too damn old and I make some pretty fine waffles at home.)</content>

<content>All you can eat waffles and bacon with a mimosa for $7 is a good deal. Not so sure about NR sausages. NR in concept are a good idea, in reality they're bland and never have the enough fat or nasty stuff in it to make it taste real.

Any way, I haven't been but my guess is that they're hooked into the East Bay Rats Motorcycle club. The aesthetic similarities seem to be there at least. </content>

<content>Besides the great prices on food and beer, Godspeed has an incredible cool "Disneyland quality" interior that is worth a visit.

Lots of flat panel tv's and cool track bikes on display too.

<content>I've eaten there last summer, when they were having BBQ. Not expensive or spectacular. But, it's not like there's serious competition for restaurants in this area. I like Everett and Jones better, but it's farther from my house.

The atmosphere at Godspeed, however, is spectacular. It's the motorcyle-land that disney never made. That alone is worth it. Everyone was friendly, and they didn't mind that I had my dog. I didn't sample their tattoos or motorcycles.
