Toronto airport area restaurant recommendation

I'm meeting with colleagues for dinner later this month, after a trade show at the International Centre. We would enjoy a smaller restaurant with delicious food - any suggestions? Thanks!

Zachary's at the Bristol Place is always good.

The Toronto Airport Marriott has a great new restaurant Bistro West by East. If you go there just to eat, they will give you a free parking pass.

You could try Topiary's Steak & Seafood on Derry Rd East. It is a pretty good steak house.

          Sorry,
I don't know the name of the restaurant, but it is close to the Airport.
We met a friend on a layover, and went for an excellent Italian meal.
I was given the suggestion here on Chowhounds, so hopefully they will chime in again..
The restaurant was huge, but the staff made us feel very comfortable, despite the size.
I would have certainly returned, if it wasn't such a long a drive.

I think that the name of the Italian restaurant is
            Verdi

When were you last at Topiary's? I returned in November after a couple of years, with memories of how great the rib steaks were. It was a HUGE disappointment. The steak was not the great quality it used to be. Neither steaks were well marbeled nor were they particularily tender. Did you enjoy it recently? We used to LOVE the place!

            thanks

The only good restaurant relatively close to the airport that we have found is Via Allegro-its still a drive...but its good
We'll also be at the International center next week-and dread the food in the area, its very chain oriented Keg, Kelsey's, Milestones etc...
If anyone else has others please share!

Via Allegro has great foot, but the atmosphere is so pretentious.
It was friendly and welcoming when it was first established, but after getting some renown it changed.
